So Championship mode is out. Let's start a private bracket with only D-Toiders, with everyone starting out in the first round. First round winners can fight each other until people make it to the finals. Benefits involved for all winners due to CP and GP being given for people who beat those with higher grades.

About the BP points, right now I'm peaked around 6700. The guys around those ranks are ridiculous good, so I only win 1 out of every 4 or 5 matches, which has dropped my BP significantly from the 7300 it once was. The points gained/lost system is unbalanced. Every loss is like 3 wins and the numbers get even more ridiculous the higher you go. At about 5000 BP it takes 5 matches to make up for a loss. I stopped playing ranked matches because even if I do win, a lot of players on that level don't like to lose many points and will rage quit on me. So I just do player matches now.

I saw the following post on GameFAQS and wanted to murder this person:

The Battle Points system is whacked. Last night I was ranked at 2100. I beat a 4200 bp player and got 138 points. I then lost to a 2000 bp player and lost 100 points. It's strange.

Hey guys, about losing ranked matches... learn every matchup for your main character. It's pretty easy in SFIV for a scrub Blanka or Gief to win just by doing repetitive shit they've learned. Be patient and learn every single trick to use against them. Know your main so good you can do their combos with your eyes closed :)

I'm in a similar boat. I've also never gotten above 1600-ish I think. But I've taken out people as high as 2400 before (bitch thought he was gonna spam up some Zangief, heh!). Just can't seem to break out in 2000 style. Maybe it's time to start rage-quitting. I've noticed people I've fought having great luck with that.

Is anyone else ashamed of their BP? My peak is about 1600, but I fell to about 800-something last week. I'm hovering around 1000 now. LAME.

It seems like losing 1 match = winning 3 matches, in terms of BP, so that's kinda frustrating. Maybe I just suck.

Yeah, sometimes it really seems like they could just cycle thru that hellicopter neck spin and the tostada belly flop over and over and win that way. fucker's just too fast. it's all about mind games to get past it tho.
gotta let em know that if they get too predictable you'll just focus the belly flips and the slides. then when they start using the neck spin thing, you'll see it coming and be able to punish accordingly. all those moves have a slightly different startup. it's all about noticing the subtle changes.

yea the big thing about fuerte is that he doesn't have any straight up offensive moves (like a fireball). But out of all the characters i find that I have the most fun with him. I'm hoping that once I get a fightstick and master his infinite combo i'll do better. From what i've read, it's very hard to win with him if you can't do the infinite combo.

Out of the hundreds of ranked matches I've played, I have only come across a single El F who was good. He did beat me, but it was really annoying to see the kind of shit he had to go through to make it happen. Jumping retard nacho smash x100

Yea, fuerte has low damage, but I have the most fun with him. Maybe if i put some time into different character i'd have better results
