JLF is the type of Sanwa stick you'll need to mod the SE. It's the same stick in the TE.

Modding the Mad Catz SE is easy but you don't save much money. In the case of the PS3, you save about $30 and about $20 for the 360 version. Another thing to consider is the fact that Lizard Lick will not be accepting orders for the next 2 weeks and that Sanwa has sold out of JLF sticks. I'm guessing that the Mad Catz tournament edition sticks will be available before LL restocks the JLFs. The TE has some really nice features, such as cord storage and a large base.
